While Gunfight in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare features set classes in the public match settings, players have been asking Infinity Ward how Gunfight mode would work in Custom Matches in the game.
Infinity Ward MP Designer has responded to comments on Reddit by confirming that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare’s Gunfight mode classes can be edited and feature custom loadouts when playing the mode in Private Matches.
The standard settings will be everyone has the same loadout. We have a lot of options for this mode, including options in custom match to pick your loadouts if you want to play that way.
Players will be able to make a wide selection of classes to play with friends in Custom Lobbies with Gunfight mode.
In public matches, the classes are preset and swap out every two rounds. Weapons shown in gameplay thus far have ranged from a pistol to snipers to rocket launchers. There’s a ton of variety and variations that can be done.
