The new NPD data for the month of March and year to date for 2020 has been released by the group this morning, and Call of Duty has reached new heights as the year continues with the success of Modern Warfare.
The NPD data has shown that Modern Warfare is now the best selling game of the the year to date ending (March 2019 to March 2020) and also the best selling game of the year currently (January 2020 to March 2020).
The NPD group also announced that the Call of Duty sales in March 2020 was the highest for the franchise ever in the month of March for history of the franchise. The last March all time high record for Call of Duty was in March 2010.
US NPD SW – Call of Duty: Modern Warfare was the #2 best-selling game of March 2020 and is now the best-selling game of 2020 year-to-date. March sales of Call of Duty franchise titles reached a new all-time high for a March month, exceeding the previous peak set in March 2010.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare’s interest increased dramatically in March thanks to the release of the free to play Call of Duty: Warzone, which has become one of the fastest growing games ever reaching 50 million players in one month.
