Activision Blizzard has announced that the first Season for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, with the new Battle Pass system, will begin in December 2019.
The company announced during their Quarterly Earnings call that the December start of the new system of content stream for the game is “later than planned” which hints that the Battle Pass system is still in development for Modern Warfare.
Before the game launched, the company noted that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is ditching the Supply Drop system for a Battle Pass system, which gives players more ways to earn content by just playing Modern Warfare versus spending.
Call of Duty Points, the in-game currency, will be used to buy the Premium Battle Pass in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare.
Activision Blizzard stated during the earnings call on November 7 that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is off to an “exceptional” start, and that Infinity Ward has “substantial” plans for post launch content for the new game.
