This new update brings a variety of bug fixes, the new Battle Pass, new content – including the Item Shop and new weapons, – Crash MP map, and two new Gunfight maps. • Tuning to how the Riot Shield protects against grenades when thrown at the players’ feet
    • Reduced explosive damage within certain ranges
  • Fixed a bug where the final killcam would appear under the map when a player got stuck by Thermite or Semtex on the lower part of the body
  • Fixed an issue where players stuck inside the Infantry Assault Vehicle would not take damage from Thermite
  • Fix for a bug where attempting to scroll to the bottom of the Recent Players list could cause the list to read “No Recent Players” and return to the top
  • Gunfight (private match): Fixes ‘Win by Two’ setting to end the game properly once the conditions have been met

Missions and Challenges:

The following are now fixed and have had their descriptions updated as needed

  • Fixed an issue where players would not be able to mantle while strafing with keyboard and mouse
  • Increased the turn-rate when aiming with a tank
  • Adjusted the camera orbit turn-rate while driving a vehicle using keyboard and mouse
  • The keybind “Vehicle Camera Recenter” is now linked to Melee by default (default on E / Mouse 4) and the re-centering of the camera has been improved

COD CASTER

  • Improvements for the camera transitions with Free Camera and Aerial Camera
  • Added a Killstreak view option when using the Portrait List
  • Added arrows under the players when using the Aerial Camera view
  • Added a skull icon on the Minimap where players die

PC

Shaders

Fixed an issue that forced shaders to be fully re-compiled after each title update. Shader installation should be expected mainly for new content, drivers update or changing the video card. New optimizations or bugfix that require modifying the shaders can also trigger part or the totality of the shaders to be re-compiled.

Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare — See Footage Of The New Crash Map

One of the most iconic maps from 2007’s Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, Crash, is being remade for the new Modern Warfare. Crash is coming to the new game in the Season One update on December 3, and now new gameplay footage from it has emerged online.

YouTuber Attach posted a video of the new map–and it looks pretty much exactly like it did back in 2007 except with better-looking graphics and one relatively small change to the map itself. There is a new back alley section of the map, but that appears to be the only notable addition.

Curiously, Attach said he was informed by Infinity Ward developers that he wasn’t allowed to use the attack chopper killstreak because it could cause the map to glitch. Here’s to hoping that has been sorted out for the public release this week.

Crash is just one of the maps coming to Modern Warfare in the Season One update. Some of the others include Vacant and Shipment, which were also fan-favorites in the original game. The Season One update also includes new modes, weapon blueprints, and more.

In addition to the Season One update, December 3 marks the start of Modern Warfare’s first Battle Pass. Just like with Fortnite, players will progress through tiers–of which there are 100–earning new cosmetic items and more on the way. Check out a breakdown of the Modern Warfare Battle Pass to learn more.

PSA: Missions will not reset at the end of season in Modern Warfare

For those wondering, Mission Challenges in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare will not reset at the end of the seasons in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare.

Missions provide fans a way to unlock additional cosmetic weapon variants, alongside other loot and XP bonuses. There is one set of bonuses that were added to the game at launch, and all of those will remain available to use and activate even when Season 1 begins.

If you currently have an active mission challenge, they will remain active and allow players to continue to complete those challenges at their own pace.

Infinity Ward even confirmed this in tweet:

So if you’ve still got Missions left to complete, you will still be able to finish them!

Infinity Ward devs says people have sent him death threats on Reddit

Infinity Ward developer has stated on Reddit that he has been receiving Private Messages on Reddits that are death threats about how people want to hurt his children.

Joe Cecot posted on Reddit when a fan said thank you for continuing to work on the game saying the studio is hard at work on bringing updates to the game. He said that he’d prefer “less PMs about his children dying horrible deaths.”

It can be rough. I’d prefer less PMs about my children dying horrible deaths. Spending less time here. Thanks for the thanks. We’re still working crazy hard!

He also notes that he has been spending a lot less time on Reddit because of the threats and harassments, which makes sense. No need to be harassed constantly versus getting real criticism. Cecot is not the first Infinity Ward dev to be harassed. The studio’s Senior CM has tweeted out that she is not going to take harassment and will just ignore those who do.

This is not the first time in Call of Duty that developers have received death threats. Vahn, Treyarch’s Studio Design Director, has received an abundant of death threats over the years from some insane people in this community – especially back in Black Ops 2 when he changed the snipers in that game at the time.

Sending constructive criticism is totally fine, and actually helps the developers make positive changes to the game. Sending death threats is insane and immature.
